On July 4, 2018, Alyssa Marie Haun and her brother Justin Trevor Haun were killed by a driver under the influence of marijuana while walking home from lunch in Bedford, MI.
Alyssa lived with her father in Hinckley Township Ohio and was an incoming junior at Highland High School.
Justin lived with his mother and his twin sister Rachel in Bedford Township Michigan and was an incoming freshman to the Monroe County Middle College as a student from Bedford High School.
In the aftermath of the accident, the two communities were very giving. From the support of the communities, we were able to establish this Foundation to provide scholarships to graduating seniors pursing STEM careers in Highland and Bedford High Schools, and at the Monroe County Middle College.

Where Alyssa & Justin were not able to pursue their dreams - Alyssa would have pursued chemical engineering and Justin neuroscience - we hope through this Foundation to be able to help others pursue their dreams.
Our entire organization is on a 100% volunteer basis. As a result, any funds raised through this 501c3 organization, minus minimal administrative expenses (website, accounting, fundraising costs) go 100% to students in these 2 communities.
